Dr. Pedro F. Armstrong grew up in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He attended Iowa State University for preveterinary studies. In 1996 he was admitted to Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine, where he graduated in the year 2000. Following veterinary school, he did a one year rotating internship in VCA West Los Angeles Animal Hospital. In 2001 he was admitted to a three year internal medicine at Atlantic Veterinary Internal Medicine in Annapolis, MD under the mentorship of Mark E. Hitt, DACVIM. In June, 2004 Dr. Armstrong sat and passed the internal medicine boards. Currently he is waiting acceptance of his publication in order to complete the board certification process.
Dr. Armstrong is interested in all aspects of internal medicine. In addition he enjoys mountain biking, water skiing, swimming and traveling. He currently sees appointments at VSI on Tuesdays.
